Acceptable Use Policy

What clients may and may not do with the BAJJPAY portal.

BAJJPAY website and client portal

This document is a working draft that describes how BAJJPAY currently operates. It is pending review by BAJJPAY's legal counsel and will be updated when that review is complete.

Scope

This policy applies to every person who uses the BAJJPAY client portal, and to the organisations they act for. It forms part of the Terms and Conditions.

Users and access

  • Each person must use their own account. Accounts and passwords must not be shared.
  • An organisation's administrators are responsible for adding and removing users promptly, and for assigning roles and permissions that match each person's responsibilities.
  • Users must be authorised by their organisation to take the actions their role allows, including requesting, accepting and approving trades and changing settlement accounts.

Permitted use

The portal may be used to request quotes, accept quotes, monitor trades and settlements, manage settlement accounts, manage the organisation's users and controls, upload documents requested for onboarding, and communicate with the desk, all on behalf of an onboarded organisation and for lawful business purposes.

Prohibited use

  • Using the portal for any unlawful purpose, or in connection with funds that are not of lawful origin.
  • Providing false or misleading information, or uploading documents that are forged, altered or not what they claim to be.
  • Attempting to circumvent approvals, limits, compliance review or any other control, whether your own organisation's or BAJJPAY's.
  • Accessing or attempting to access another organisation's data, or any part of the system you are not authorised to use.
  • Probing, scanning or testing the security of the portal, or introducing malicious code.
  • Automated scraping or bulk extraction of content, or use of the portal by automated means without BAJJPAY's written agreement.
  • Using the portal on behalf of any person or organisation other than the one your account belongs to.

Controls

Organisations should keep their own controls appropriate: who can request and accept quotes, which tickets need more than one approver, what limits apply, and who can change settlement accounts. BAJJPAY relies on those settings when acting on instructions from the portal.

Consequences

Breach of this policy may result in suspension or removal of a user, suspension or closure of an organisation's account, and, where required, reporting to the relevant authorities. Obligations arising from trades already formed are unaffected.
