This document is a working draft that describes how BAJJPAY currently operates. It is pending review by BAJJPAY's legal counsel and will be updated when that review is complete.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website places in your browser so that it can recognise you between requests. Browser storage (such as local storage) works similarly but is not sent with every request. This policy covers both, for the BAJJPAY website and the client portal.
What we use
We use only items that are necessary for the website and portal to work. None of them is used to track you across other websites.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
bajjpay_session | Identifies your session so that the site can keep you signed in and remember form submissions between requests. | Strictly necessary | Until the session ends or after 120 minutes of inactivity |
XSRF-TOKEN | Protects forms against cross-site request forgery. | Strictly necessary | Session |
remember_web_… | Keeps you signed in to the portal when you tick "remember me". | Strictly necessary (only if chosen) | Long-lived, until you sign out |
bp-theme (local storage) | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme in the portal. | Preference | Until cleared |
Analytics and advertising
We do not currently use analytics, advertising or social media cookies on the website or the portal. If that changes, this policy will be updated first and any non-essential cookies will be subject to your consent.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Because the items above are necessary for the site to work, blocking them will prevent you from signing in to the portal or submitting forms.
